MAVIS are a modern metalcore force emerging from Stuttgart, Germany, combining crushing heaviness with cinematic atmosphere, infectious hooks and an unmistakable emotional core.

Formed in 2019, the band quickly made their mark with a sound that moves effortlessly between devastating breakdowns, soaring melodies, atmospheric electronics and raw, deeply personal lyricism. After signing with Arising Empire in 2023, MAVIS released their acclaimed debut album Grief Is No Ally, earning strong reactions across the heavy music press and establishing themselves as one of Germany’s most promising new names in modern metalcore.

Their momentum soon carried onto the live stage, with packed shows across Germany and a standout appearance at the renowned Summer Breeze Open Air. Rather than settling into a formula, MAVIS continued to push their sound forward with tracks such as DNA, Sentinel Hill and Idle Season, ultimately leading into their 2025 EP The Great Attractor.
